Give a beautiful piece of vintage china a whole new purpose! In this hands-on workshop, Juliette from Hillier House Designs will help you create your own plate stand using vintage china plates/cups and your choice of gold, silver or black hardware. You’ll have hands on coaching on how to safely drill vintage china so you’ll have the skills to make more plate stands at home. Have a favourite piece of vintage china you’d like to use? Bring it along! Or choose from Juliette’s collection of unique vintage plates and teacups. Light refreshments will be served while we create. The fields will be bursting with August blooms and the colours are just radiant. We’ll start off with a brief intro and some beverages as we meet and mingle. Cathy will take you on a tour of the flower field and let you know about the ones that are in bloom and some tips on how to harvest for the longest lasting cut flowers. Once we are back in the studio, Darlene from The Petal Academy will step you through the process of creating a beautiful bouquet. When you see the process broken down it really does become an easy way to create your own floral bouquets. Then it’s time for YOU to create! Feel free to pick from the buckets of pre-cut blooms or wander back out to the field to snip your own. Both Cathy and Darlene will be available to assist and offer suggestions every step of the way. Each participant will take home their own stunning mason jar bouquet bursting with the best of our seasonal blooms… and a big smile on their face! Details:- Tickets are $70 + HST per person. - This is a small group activity. Numbers are limited so that everyone has the space and attention to be successful with their project.
- Choose appropriate footwear/clothing. This is a working farm, with uneven terrain….no high heels. It may be cool in the evening so dress appropriately, layers are always a good option.
- Tickets are not refundable, but they are transferable. If you can’t make it, feel free to pass your ticket along to a friend.

As summer starts to wind down, the instinct is to capture as much of the season to enjoy in the colder months. A wreath does a great job of bringing together and capturing those summer elements.
