About Us
Originally started as a PYO dried flower farm, Perennial Petals has grown into a trusted supplier of sustainably grown, seasonal blooms. Each year we expand our offerings from daffodils to peonies to zinnias. There is nothing like local blooms to make someone special smile.
The farm is not open to the public except during special events. Our flowers can be found at the Newmarket Farmers’ Market and selected on-farm markets in the area.
Our Team
Helen is an amazing mother. She loves to garden, sew, design and knit but her passion is baking. She supports her daughter, Cathy, by helping out wherever she can to make Perennial Petals a thriving, sustainable business.
Perennial Petals Flower Farm was born out of Cathy’s dream to work with flowers on a daily basis and share the joy of their beauty with others. Cathy found flowers at a young age. Her father was a landscape gardener and from the age of 8, she worked with him all summer maintaining gardens and lawns. During high school she worked in the greenhouses next door to their farm-transplanting, making mixed pots, pinching mums and taking poinsettia cuttings. Whether it is planting annuals, harvesting peonies, creating wreaths or designing container gardens, Cathy is happiest with dirt under her finger nails and surrounded by flowers.
Gary is the brawn of our team. Initially, he was dragged into gardening and farming but now admits that he also gets great satisfaction from growing garlic and flowers. His get’er done attitude goes a long way towards task completion. He is Cathy’s soul mate and partner in life and business.
